When is the election?
The New Zealand general election is on Saturday 21 November 2026. Advance voting opens in the weeks beforehand.
Am I enrolled to vote?
Check or update your enrolment at vote.nz. You can enrol right up to and including election day, but enrolling early makes voting faster.
I have two votes — what do they do?
Your party vote decides how many seats each party gets in Parliament, and matters most. Your electorate vote chooses who represents Selwyn.
